Jomsom Muktinath trek

Muktinath is pilgrimage sit for both Hindus and Buddhists. For Hindus, it is sacred as the place of salvation. The Hindus believe that to wash in the water here guarantees salvation after death. The Hindu god, Bramha, is thought to have lit the eternal flames that still burning at Muktinath. To the Buddhists, it is a place that the great sage Guru Rinpochhe (Padmasambava) had meditation, and to all, it is the source of fossilized ammonites known locally as saligrams which are found all along the upper reaches of the Kaligandaki valley.

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu; transfer to the Hotel

Day 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley

Day 03 : Drive/fly to Pokhara

Day 04 : Drive to Nayapool and start trek to Ulleri

Day 05 : Trek to Ghorepani

Day 06 : Climb up to Poonhill (early in the morning to see the Himalayan panorama and sunrise views) and trek to Tadapani

Day 07 : Trek to Ghasa/Kalopani

Day 08 : Trek to Marpha

Day 09 : Trek to Kagbeni

Day 10 : Trek to Muktinath

Day 11 : Trek back to Jomsom

Day 12 : Fly back to Pokhara

Day 13 : Exploring Pokhara

Day 14 : Drive/fly back to Kathmandu

Day 15 : Free day in Kathmandu
